I have done a lot of moving the past few years. I moved from Canada to Rexburg ID to go to University, and did lots of back and forth moving every six months or so, making lots of new friends along the way. Then I got married and have moved even farther away to Seattle, and those amazing friends I have made are off on their own adventures as well.
I enjoy reading my friends blogs, it helps me keep up with their lives and feel connected with them, even if they are far away. Thane suggested that maybe with all the time I now have on my hands, that I jump on the blogging bandwagon, so I can share our stories and adventures with my friends and family as well.
A little about us:
We are currently residing in the Seattle area. Thane has an internship with Lydig - a construction company, where he is doing estimating for projects. He likes it alright, but I know that sitting at a desk all day is NOT his cup of tea, and he wishes he could be out on the work site more doing things. He really wants a motor bike, but I think I can hold him off for a while longer :P. After this internship we are heading back to Rexburg for him to finish his last 3 semesters of school.
I graduated last month - Hurray! So I am currently just working at a PetSmart, to get more animal experience. What I would really love is to get a job at a zoo, but those jobs are really hard to get without experience, so I will keep working towards it!
I love our current apartment, it is a one bedroom, and the perfect size for us.... it feels like a mansion after our last studio apartment!
We also have a pet bearded dragon who we really love! Her name is Koopa (yes as in Koopa Troopa from Mario - we are nerds), and has grown so quickly since we got her!
She went from this tiny mite.
To this, in a matter of months!!!
....and is probably just going to keep on growing for awhile yet
Until recently we only had one piece of furniture : a blue loveseat. But last week Thane made me a beautiful coffee table! (With some help from his 'expert' wife).
Thane making a mess of my kitchen!!
I'm helping, I swear!
Finished Product. Isn't it Beautiful! Thank you love! (yes that is a Canadian flag over our fire place - still got my Canadian Pride! - for Josi )
Anyways that is our life right now. I miss my friends and family, but am grateful to be in this beautiful city, with the man I love! I hope you enjoy our adventures, almost as much as we do!
You better keep that Canadian pride buddy :}
