Fun at the Aquarium!

Thane surprised me on Saturday by taking me to the Aquarium!

He said that we looked like tourists because we were the only ones really taking pictures. But I didn't care, I needed pictures for my blog! ;) 

 When we first walked in there was a lady in scuba gear under the water, talking and giving a presentation! 

 Then there were tide pools that you could touch starfish and anemones

 This was really cool, it had the jelly fish swimming next to you, below your feet, and above your head!

It also had lights that changed color, so the jellyfish would change color. I had never seen a jellyfish before so that was one of my favorite parts!

 Quick Fact for you :

A fully grown octopus, at about 90 pounds can fit through a 3 inch hole because it has no bones, it is only limited by the size of it's beak! That is like shoving ME through that hole!!!

Which means that this small octopus in this 'maze' could escape through one of those little holes if it wanted to!

 There was also a room where you were under water and could watch all the fish swim by.

 

We both LOVED the otter exhibits. They had both sea and river otters and in both exhibits you could watch them swim under the water. So fun!
